Desk report: The brutality of the occupying Israeli forces is not stopping. They continue to persecute Palestinian Muslims. Occupying Israeli forces have recently attacked worshipers at a mosque in the West Bank that commemorates the memory of Hazrat Ibrahim (as). The army of the Zionist country attacked the worshipers who were going to perform the Friday prayers on Friday. Qatar-based Al-Jazeera reports that a worshiper was brutally thrown to the ground and kicked by Israeli troops. However, it was not known why such a sudden attack. Last Monday, the Israeli Defense Ministry said it had launched a route construction project in the courtyard of the mosque, which would connect the parking area directly to the mosque and install an electric lift. Last Thursday, the Palestinian Ministry of Religion closed all other mosques in Hebron in protest of the Israeli occupation and called on everyone to perform Friday prayers at the Ibrahimi Mosque. In response to the call from the Ministry of Religion, a large number of Palestinians gathered at the mosque on Friday to offer Friday prayers. It is learned that the worshipers have to face Israeli obstruction in several stages while praying there. At the entrance of the mosque, the invading forces put up an iron fence and lined up the worshipers and checked their identity cards one by one. Suddenly the occupiers started attacking the worshipers. Jews and Muslims pay homage to the Ibrahimi Mosque. It is believed that Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and Jacob (peace be upon him) were buried here. Occasionally, Israeli authorities close the Ibrahimi Mosque to celebrate Jewish festivals. The Ibrahimi Mosque was first attacked by Israel in 1994. In 1994, Baruch Golden Stitch, an extremist, killed 29 Palestinians while they were worshiping in a mosque. Israeli authorities later set aside places of worship for Muslims and Jews. Moreover, rules are imposed on a few azans in the Ibrahimi Mosque. Since then, Maghrib Azan cannot be given loudly. Moreover, the call to Maghrib and Esha on Fridays and the Fajr, Johar, Asr and Maghrib prayers on the day of the weekly prayer of the Jews on Sunday are prohibited. At least 200,000 Palestinians live in Hebron. Hundreds of extremist nationalist Israeli settlers live side by side. Their area is heavily guarded by the army. In 1967, Israel occupied the West Bank in the Middle East War. Since then they have set up dozens of illegal settlements there. About 5 lakh people live in it.
