Desk report:  An Afghan warplane has crashed. The warplane crashed shortly after entering Uzbekistan. The Uzbek Defense Ministry said the pilot of the plane jumped out of it and is alive. Khabar Al Jazeera. The warplane crashed on Sunday in the southern Uzbek province of Surjandario. This province borders Afghanistan. Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency quoted the Uzbek Defense Ministry as saying the pilot jumped out of the plane and was injured.Last April, US President Joe Biden announced the withdrawal of US and NATO troops from Afghanistan. Following the announcement of the withdrawal of all foreign troops by August 31, the Taliban launched an operation to take control of Afghanistan in May. Since then, they have occupied 26 of the country’s 34 provinces in just two and a half months at an incredibly fast pace and are now based in Kabul. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has already fled the country. He cited “avoiding bloodshed” as the reason for leaving his country.
