Desk report: Saudi Arabia has approved two more coronavirus vaccines. These are the vaccines of Sinovac and Sinoform made in China. As a result, there was no obstacle for Bangladeshis receiving Cinopharm vaccine to perform Umrah Hajj and for Saudi expatriates. According to a report in Arab News, Saudi Arabia approved the vaccines of Sinovac and Sinofarm on Tuesday. A total of six corona vaccines were approved in the country. Saudi Arabia has previously approved four coroner vaccines. These are Oxford-AstraZeneca, Pfizer-Bioentech, Johnson & Johnson and Modern. Late last month, Saudi authorities said that only foreign tourists who have received the full dose of vaccines approved by the Saudi government will be able to enter the country from August 1. Earlier this month, the country announced that from August 9, Saudi Arabia would begin accepting applications for the holy Umrah Hajj from foreign worshipers who have received the full dose of vaccine. The Saudi Ministry of Health said in a statement that from now on, those who have received the Sinoform and Sinovac vaccines will be allowed to enter the country. The Saudi government said last month that both doses of vaccines approved in the country would have to be taken in early August to enter Saudi Arabia. Synoform vaccine is one of the most widely used vaccines in Bangladesh. With Saudi Arabia’s approval of the vaccine, there is no longer a barrier for people who have been vaccinated with the country’s synoform to perform the Umrah Hajj and return to work. Expatriate Bangladeshis who have completed two doses of the vaccine will no longer have to go to a Saudi hotel and stay in quarantine. Vaccines of Oxford-Astrageneca, Pfizer-Bioentech, Moderna and Cinopharm are currently being administered in Bangladesh.
