Saudi Arabia will allow 20 million worshipers to perform Umrah every month

Desk report: From Monday (August 9), Saudi Arabia will gradually increase the number of people wishing to perform Umrah from abroad. At present, the number will be gradually increased from 60,000 per month to 20 million, according to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. A statement from the ministry said on Saturday (August 6th). Meanwhile, a ministry official said foreigners must show a certificate of coronavirus vaccination approved in Saudi Arabia to apply for Umrah. Synovac has been approved in Saudi Arabia to prevent coronavirus infections, subject to Pfizer-Bioentech, Oxford-AstraZeneca, Mordana, Johnson & Johnson and booster doses. Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah Abdul Fattah bin Sulaiman Mashat said in a statement that the ministry is currently working with the concerned authorities to ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for the entire journey of Umrah performers before the start of the Umrah season.To this end, Umrah must always adhere to a safe physical distance. On the other hand, after coming to Saudi Arabia, foreign Umrah performers have to follow the quarantine process for a certain period of time.
