Desk report: The Malaysian government sees vaccination as the only way to prevent the spread of coronavirus. As part of this, the decision to provide free vaccinations to immigrants in the country has already been announced.About 5 lakh people are receiving the vaccine every day by registering through My Sejahatra apps. However, to make the process more dynamic, Malaysia has offered the opportunity to be vaccinated in person without an appointment since the beginning of this month. The Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia has issued a statement today (August 8) to create awareness about this. The statement said the Malaysian government has decided to directly vaccinate migrants living in the Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur and Selangor) areas. Expatriate Bangladeshis living in the area are advised by the employer to register at the Bukit Jalil Stadium between August 9 and 22 to receive vaccinations. It was also mentioned that there are representatives of the High Commission for the cooperation of the expatriate Bangladeshis who came to the stadium. Those who have a valid visa and who have registered in the recalibration process for validity can easily get the vaccine by registering through the employer. However, those who do not have a valid visa and did not participate in the recalibration process for validity are mentioned in the statement to wait for further instructions. The statement signed by Ruhul Amin, Head of Embassy of Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia was published on the verified page of the High Commission.
