Desk report: The Taliban have seized power by ousting Afghan President Ashraf Ghani at gunpoint. However, in order to stop the Taliban, the US military provided sophisticated biometric tools as well as training Afghan troops. The Taliban are currently using that biometric tool to keep a close eye on Afghan citizens. To stop the Taliban, the Afghan army received various facilities from the United States, including weapons. In the last 20 years, the United States has spent more than 2 trillion US dollars in various sectors in the country. Even biometrics provided by the United States were used to create the thumbprints of millions of Afghans and the image of the iris. Now, from that source, the Taliban can easily know the names and personal identities of Afghan citizens. For the past 20 years, the Taliban have been hiding in various locations in the US-NATO alliance, the Afghan army and India’s intelligence and research and analysis wing. Nawazuddin Haqqani, one of the brigade commanders of the Taliban’s al-Isha unit, was interviewed by the Afghan media ‘Zhenger News’. He made it clear that no one would be left out. We have acquired the entire biometric database. So it will not be difficult to know who among the Afghans became puppets in the hands of the Afghan and American armies and India’s ‘RAW’. All of them will be closely monitored. The U.S. military has sent more than 7,000 scanners to Afghanistan to record all biometric data of Afghan citizens. The Pentagon says it has no information on how many of those US and NATO troops have left in Afghanistan. The Taliban’s Al Isha unit will now use the scanners and all biometric data of Afghans held for the past 12 years. Nawazuddin Haqqani added that Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, had been captured. Surveillance must begin now. Most of the militants in the 1,000-member brigade are now scattered in various madrassas. The Al Isha unit will track the militants by checking the biometric information.
