Corona Delta Plus is spreading in Maharashtra

Desk report: The highly contagious delta type of coronavirus devastated India. Although the Delta type has come under some control, the Delta Plus type has started spreading in Maharashtra, India. Delta Plus has been identified in the bodies of 45 people in the populous state this month. The state health department has reported the spread of Corona Delta Plus in Maharashtra. Of the 45 people identified as Corona Delta Plus, 13 are from Jalgaon and 11 from Ratnagiri, Indian media outlet NDTV reported on Sunday. In addition, Delta Plus has been identified in the bodies of six people in Mumbai, the commercial capital of India. Six and five people have been identified in Thane and Pune districts respectively. The rest are residents of other districts in the state. A statement from the state Department of Health on Sunday said 80 percent of the corona samples sent to the laboratory for genome sequencing had Delta Plus-type presence. Corona delta type has suffered a lot in Maharashtra. In the meantime, Delta Plus has started spreading in the state. In this regard, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said, the first and second wave of corona has departed. However, Corona is not completely gone yet. This virus is constantly changing its form. Everyone needs to be aware of the coronal regulations. Several districts in Maharashtra, including Pune, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Sangli, Satara and Ratnagiri, are at risk of Delta Plus, according to the state health department.
